| Set in the countryside just 4 miles south of Berwick Upon Tweed the Plough Inn at Allerdean has been a pub since the 17th century. This ancient stone built pub features thick stone walls, real fires and a host of memorabilia from a bygone age. Locally the pub is famous for the quality of the food served in its restaurant.

The Plough Inn actually has two restaurants, one of which can be hired out for special occasions. Proprietor and Chef, Trevor McArdle source ingredients for their restaurant locally and the restaurant is particularly respected for the variety and quality of their seafood which is sourced daily from Eyemouth Harbour, including fresh sea bass, langoustine and haddock with feresh mussells from Lindisfarne. The Al a Carte menu is extensive and includes vegetarian and gluten free options (others available on request).

The pub at Allerdean excels itself each Sunday offering Traditional Roast Beef Sunday Lunch with all the trimmings. Each Sunday the pub offers 3 or 4 other main meal choices. Other specials are available the most popular of which is the old age pensioners special offered each Wednesday Lunchtime (traditional fayre at very reasonable prices).
The Bar at the Plough Inn offers a choice of 2 draft lagers, draft Guinness and a range of local real ales and stouts. The real ales are particularly good. A good range of spirits, single malt and blended whiskies are on offer.
